Clean hotel in a lovely building just off the main square in Stow, garden, and the pub opposite. Brand-new, pet-friendly rooms provided with good bathroom and excellent sound-proofing, for instance. Central location close to bars and restaurants.

Fairly clean hotel with attentive staff and fabulous food. Incredible and stunning location, in the Center of Town. Also - right by the restaurant, other areas of the Cotswolds and the market square. A good choice of goodies for breakfast.

The breakfast was delicious with perfectly cooked poached eggs, and the location is just a few steps from st edward's church, great for lovely city strolls to discover charming landmarks in stow-on-the-wold. As a solo traveler, i appreciated the spacious bedroom which was warm and cute for my 2-night stay.

Good location. Good food.
Didn't like the wooden boarded bed in Room 24! Thought the service in Gigot though friendly wasn't on the pace.

The place was very easy to find, with parking facilities at th rear. Bar area is nice, light and modern. Staff all very friendly
The place is now very tired looking and the pictures on the web are very misleading. There is clearly not enough staff as my very first introduction was to wait for 10mins to be served at the bar. My friends had a room with patio doors leading out to what should have been a lovely outside area. Unfortunately, the patio was covered in moss and the furniture was too dirty to sit on!!! For the money and the description it is not what you would expect.

Friendliness of staff and desire to help. Good location, close to centre of town and away from highway noise. Food was excellent.
The stairs to the second floor rooms need redesigning.

It was very clean and comfortable. The food was good - we had bar food which was good value and service was friendly. Breakfast was very nice indeed and service was prompt. I would say the cleanliness was also very good standard. All in all, a pleasant stay.
We had room 27 (not the "King Room" originally assigned to us). The bathroom was a bit shabby - shower rail very wonky, grouting coming away from the wall and many areas poorly finished. Two separate hot and cold taps (which may or may not bother you) It allows pets, but because of the location of 27 ("Garden Rooms" - about 6 other rooms in the block) one instance of (day time) barking was not looked upon kindly. Presumably other guests may have complained, which is fair enough. However if you are thinking of taking yer average dog there, unless it is muzzled and/or like us you ensure all the windows are closed and have an anti-bark collar (we forgot to apply both these "rules" during one lunch time), this is not a good choice. I would say that it is less "up-market" than the web site gives the impression of- the reception area, for example, looks a bit run-down. I worked on reception in London hotels for many years so would probably notice more than the average person. Not sure why some hotels don't have freeview yet, so it was a standard old TV with just 5 channels.
